Another Push Back
It's been about three months since the last time Scruff gave any word on his release date for his third compilation, My Life Is FA.B. Long overdue Scruff says "I''m getting so frustrated with myself for my lack of commitment toward this cd. I'm very excited about the work that i've completed thus far on this project, but i'm constantly & easily distracted from going on to the next & most time consuming part of the job which is the recording which hasn't even begun yet". His last cd release was Ready Set Spit Volume 2: BX-Factor, which dropped in March of 2005.
With his child growing older before his eyes, & plans on marriage sometime in 2009 as well as working a nine to five, I guess frustration & stress is a bit easy to catch wind of. Ticked off would definitely be an emotion that can be thrown into the mix that he's been feeling as well. Especially since his third FlipStyle release was initially suppose to drop in the summer of 2007 but due to new artists that were brought into the labels attention, Scruff agreed to take some of the spotlight off of himself for a spell & let them shine. Then after he saw the outcome & profit from the two releases (not much of neither), Scruff began working on the third compilation as well as planning & preparing for the FlipStyle Mixtape. After awhile people within the company began to show lack of commitment, negative attitude & lazyness, so the mixtape was cancelled. Halfway through Flip working on his instrumentals for Scruff's next project, he recieved business to invest in the My Life Is F.A.B cd.
So the album continued to get pushed back, & now almost four years later from his last release, Scruff is ready to finally finish up this long awaited sound. After letting staff & artists go, shutting down myspace pages, creating a new imeem page, & relaunching the FlipStyle site back up, Scruff seems as though he's ready for the final chapter to this story. Still testing his options on what instrumentals Flip should let him have & which ones to keep locked away in the vault until next time is in the happening as of now. When we asked Scruff does he have any further comment, he says, "Let's just hope that my website won't force another push back".
